Cultimate // interaction design
Cultimate is a digital place to explore your feelings. Most people carry a lot of emotions and needs a safespace to release them. Have you ever wished you could enter a room and scream at the top of your lungs? Cultimate provides you with the opportunity to do so. Through an exploration of interfaces, you can enter different rooms tailored to various emotional releases. For instance, if you're feeling angry and want to scream as loud as you can, you enter the room of rage and follow the instructions. The interface guides you through a session where the phone measures how loudly you scream and how vigorously you shake the phone. The small "blob" on the home screen is an abstract representation of how you feel, changing based on the rooms you choose.
The elective course "Experiments in Digital Aesthetics," encouraged for exploration. We wanted to turn digital interfaces into something more physical. We imagined an actual entrance of a physical safe space to experience emotions. All interactions in the rooms have a physical approach. After using Cultimate, you might have screamed, thrown the phone, laughed, cried, ranted, and used your hearing, to name a few.
